Fact Of The Day – 22nd July 2015

Evidence suggests that self-harm causes an adaption in people who get use to it, in that they slowly find their ability to cope in general diminished. The extent to which this happens in some cases means that allowing the fall-back of minor forms of discomfort (as long as it is proven to be safe) may be more affective for some than going cold-turkey, as long as they continue making the effort to scale it back, for which encouragement will be required.
