Remember that self-harm can be caused by emotional repression or over-analysis of your emotions. If one of these is causing it in you, and there is no guarantee of that, you must make sure you know which of these are the cause, as in a few cases one may feel like it is really the other to the person in question. This will allow you to establish what the best methods are for your recovery.
