Even if you are entirely resistant to the idea of discussing your self-harm with anyone else you should still consider finding someone with whom you can discuss the issues, both past and present, which tend to trigger your self-harm. While we cannot stress enough the benefits of admitting your trouble with self-harm to someone trustworthy, there are also immense benefits in simply discussing the issues behind it, as this may prove another effective form of relief.
